Argyle
Alamo Heights, Texas
This 1930’s era original Sears and Roebuck design was one of three similar era Craftsman houses built on prestigious Argyle Street in Alamo Heights. During the last 50 years, several roof and porch modifications changed the home and lost much of the unique original character found intact to its adjacent neighbors. The home had been vacant for an extended period and in need of serious updating for all living spaces and building systems. As the home had some original design elements still intact, the goal to see how close to the original California craftsman bungalow styled home with expanded Master Suite and reorganized living spaces to create an open modern layout.
